Cooks for Kids 
Meal Program & Calendar
Gather your friends, family, co-workers or church members together to cook a meal for our families. This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved as a volunteer at Ronald McDonald House Charities. Your donation of time, food and energy is essential to our mission to provide a caring uplifting environment for the families.
The meal program involves preparing dinner (sometimes, breakfast and lunch) for guest families staying at a Ronald McDonald House or Family Room. Volunteers are asked to prepare enough food for 30 people at the Cherry Street House and 50 people at the Longfellow House.
Due to limited kitchen and dining capacities, the group size needs to be limited to 10 to 15 people and members must be free of contagious illnesses. Children are welcome to participate and need to be supervised by an adult at all times.
Meal Program Instructions
- To volunteer for the Meal Program, please "click on the calendars" in the left purple navigation box to view available dates.
- Calendar information is updated on Monday's.
- Blank spaces OR spaces that do not have both CS (Cherry Street House) and LF (Longfellow House) are available dates for meals.
- Please choose a couple of possible dates, then contact Kerry Stein at kstein@rmhckc.org or 816-842-8321 ext. 101 for confirmation of availability.
