Ronald McDonald House Charities provides lodging and support for families regardless of their ability to pay for services. Instead, we rely primarily on donations from individuals to fund operations.
We serve nearly 2,000 families each year in our Houses. Our Family Room inside The Children’s Mercy Hospital provides services to approximately 4,000 families, as well as, logs over 41,000 visits by those who need a place to relax, refresh and regroup, away from the hospital’s intense environment.
With you, we can make a real difference in the lives of thousands of families. Every donation dollar provides hope. The average family stays for nine days and many families stay for months at a time. The expense to house a family for an overnight stay is:
- $60 for one day
- $420 for one week
- $1,800 for one month
