Pop-Tab Collection Program
Pull for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Even little things like a pop-tab can make a person's day brighter. Last year, friends of Ronald McDonald House collected approximately 60,000 pounds of pop-tabs, raising over $24,000 to help provide families a home-away-from-home. This more than doubles the amount collected in 2005. A special thanks to our local recycler, Wabash Iron & Metal, who generously donates its services allowing all the proceeds to go directly to Ronald McDonald House.
Collecting pop-tabs is a great volunteer opportunity benefiting Ronald McDonald House families and is easy to organize. When you pull for the House That Love Built, you expand public awareness, raise money and help the environment.
Anyone can get involved, including schools, youth groups, co-workers, civic organizations and neighborhood associations, to name a few. You can collect the pop-tabs in plastic storage bags, boxes, coffee cans, potato chip canisters, etc. Please do not use plastic soda bottles or milk jugs — they are difficult to empty.
Once your containers are full, please deliver them to the Cherry Street Ronald McDonald House at 2501 Cherry Street, Kansas City, MO 64108.
