Tons of Tabs
Pop Tab Collection Campaign
Pulling for Ronald McDonald House Charities
Is your school looking for a fun, simple community service project? How about "pulling" for Ronald McDonald House Charities? The Greater Kansas City Alumnae Association of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority leads the Tons of Tabs Pop Tab Collection Campaign.
Over the last five years, participating schools have collected nearly 18,000 tabs (almost 9 tons!) generating over $20,500 benefiting the children and families of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.
2007-2008 Tons of Tabs Campaign

This year's Tons of Tabs campaign takes place from September 2007 to May 2008. Participating schools collect pop tabs throughout the school year. Individual schools run their collection campaign as they wish. As a collective team, the overall goal is to collect 3 tons or 6,000 lbs. of tabs.
In May 2008, volunteers from Alpha Delta Pi, Ronald McDonald House Charities and other participating sponsors will caravan to the schools to pick up tabs.
The tabs will be taken directly to Wabash Iron & Metal for recycle.
Sponsors
Wabash Iron & Metal, our local recycler, generously donates its services allowing all the proceeds to stay locally at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.
Local sponsors, such as Valley View Bank, the Bank of Lee's Summit, and M&I Banks, help support the campaign by providing tab collection boxes and by matching schools dollar-for-dollar raised.
Thank you to all the sponsors and The Greater Kansas City Alumnae Association of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority for making the Tons of Tabs campaign happen!
