Need Help Getting to
Their
Medical Appointments
Each year, Ronald McDonald House Charities spends thousands of dollars in transportation costs helping children and families get to their medical appointments. Many of the families are life-flighted to Kansas City or are without access to a vehicle while they are staying at one of the Houses. Although many families are able to walk to Children’s Mercy Hospital, there are also a lot of children who are treated by other area hospitals including Saint Luke’s, the Rehabilitation Institute, and KU Medical Center, and need transportation to get to their appointments, treatments and therapies.
We Need Your Help 
September 1 through December 31, RMHC is calling on your company or organization to help! Our goal is to raise $25,000 to support the families’ transportation costs and get them to their appointments on time.

1. Your company, school or organization can hold a fundraiser or make a donation.
Ideas for Companies
Below are a few simple suggestions that have been successful at other companies. For any of the events listed, each employee could be asked to donate $5 to sponsor and participate in the event.
- Jeans Day
- Dress Down Day
- Leave Work Early Day
- Come To Work Late Day
- Collegiate Dress Up Day
- Bring Your Lunch Day
- Or, Another Creative Participation Activity
Ideas for Schools or Organizations

pledge your support and set the date you plan to have a special day at your office.
3. Work with Lora to get started. Ways RMHC can help you include:
- Provide an e-mail template for you to use as an e-blast to your employees.
- Send a representative to speak to your employees about RMHC.
- Provide recognition to companies who collect over $1,000 by year-end.
- List you on our website as a partner of this program.
