Keys to The House That Love Built
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to the keys I donate?
They will be recycled at Advantage Metals, our participating recycler. The money raised from the recycling project will go to House operations to help the families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.
What keys do we accept?
We accept loose keys. We do not accept any keys with added plastic coatings. Please remove key rings.
How can we deliver our keys?
Drop of the keys to the Cherry Street location (2506 Cherry Kansas City, MO 64108) from 9am-8pm daily. The House Manager or volunteer will accept your keys and take your name and address so we can keep you updated on future recycling events and other opportunities to help the families and kids at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.
We have only a few old keys, can we help in some other way?
Yes, we need you! Please visit our How You Can Help section to see different volunteer opportunities: make a meal, gather wish-list items, collect pop-tabs (our long-standing recycling project in which we partner with individuals, businesses, service clubs, religious organizations and more than 200 schools across Missouri and Kansas).
