Nov 29 11am-1pm PAWtograph with Mr. Bean at Hallmark Gold Crown Store - Crown Center
Mr. Bean, Director of Love & Campassion will be doing an official PAWtograph event at Hallmark Gold Crown Store - Crown Center. Come meet Mr. Bean, Author Cat Hollyer, and Illustrator Mima Stubbs for the book signing of "Mr. Bean: The Rule Breaking Pup and the House Full of Love." This hard cover illustrated book is 19 pages long and tells a heart warming story about how Mr. Bean came to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. Book retails for $12.95 and directly supports the mission of RMHC-KC helping to keep families close to their sick kids. You can join the event on Facebook.
Dec 1, 6-8pm Holiday Party at Lathrop & Gage
Always one of the biggest Red Shoe events of the year, we'll celebrate the great year it's been and gather to enjoy the company of Red Shoe Society members and friends. We'll be collecting toys again this year for Ronald's Room at the house, so you bring the toys and we'll provide the hors d'ouevres and drinks. You can RSVP and invite friends on our facebook event or Eventbrite.
Dec 7, 5-7pm Red Shoe Society December Dinner at the Cherry St. House
Red Shoe Events board member Sarah Shubert hosts dinner at the Cherry St. House, but she needs assistance! Volunteers will help prepare and serve the meal for the families staying at the house. Sarah will decide the menu and make sure everyone is organized. Want to help? You can be a newbie! Email her with any questions or join the event on facebook!
Dec 16, 4pm-midnight 12 Bars for Charity at the Power & Light District
The 12 Bars of Charity is a citywide pub crawl taking place in Kansas City for the FIRST time this winter! It is $30 to participate, but you'll be asked to pick a charity team when you register. By picking RMHC-KC, you'll be donating $10 of your ticket price to the house and you will receive a red sweatshirt to show your support. You will also receive a shuttle pass to take you to the bars, where drink specials are provided to all of the crawlers! To map out the bars you will be attending, visit http://12barsofcharity.com/kansas-city/. You can also RSVP on facebook. Red Shoe Society will be volunteering at one of the bars, helping with registration and sign-in. If you'd like to volunteer, email Tara.
